269. Carved Japanese Bench, early 20th Century
The base, front and sides of this bench feature iris flowers and fanged demon with outstreched arms. Flowering foliage decorates the top while the back has mountain and clouds at crest. This piece also features dragon armrests and a hinged seat with Greek Key border and two round medallions with birds. Hand painted eyes and free form carving throughout. Apprx size 54-1/2"H x 67"W x 24"D.

270. Macassar Ebony Side Table, 20th Century
An Art Deco style side table of Macassar ebony veneer with one central drawer with an ivory handle. Top has inlay boarder of ivory and rests on U shaped support and stepped base. Produced by Pollard of N.J., this piece was designed after a table from the Normandy which sank in the New York Harbour. Apprx 21-1/2"H x 22"W x 17"D.
