The second image shows the woman, seated with her robes encircling her form. Third image features the figure of the woman from the back. Each print is signed. 600. Chosei Miwa (Japanese 1901-1983)
Scroll painting, watercolor mounted to raw silk fabric backing with ivory tips. Offered in original box and properly signed throughout. Chosei Miwa was born in Niigata prefecture. He graduated from the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting and was a student of Domoto Insho. The artist worked primarily as a painter and was active with the state-controlled exhibitions Teiten and Nitten. Miwa made woodblock prints of Kyoto scenes in modern style and kacho-e (birds and flowers). Measures apprx 26" W x 54-1/4"L.

Signed on right side. Images measure apprx 11"H x 15-1/2"W. With patterned mats and wood frames, entire items measure apprx 17"H x 20-3/4"W. Versos bear round yellow sticker with artist name and "Genuine Wood Block Print" with stamps of "The Sixth Operating Co. Hotel Hollenden".
